And we are in August.
A particular month, the city will be full of loneliness...
But certainly not in our home!

I will change the order of the posts in the page: currently blogs are in stack mode, the older post under and the new ones on the top.

Introducing the link to the first post of the day, I will proceed placing the posts one under the others, like is more spontaneous in our way of writing.

31 July 2006 [19:28] - Happy Holydays!.

Today the traditions passes, and the typical August Holydays are no more an habitudes for many Italians.
For foreign people also, August is not mandatory for Holydays.

Anyway many people, for choice or obligation takes the holydays in August,.

	05 August 2006 [13:00] - The Lord of The House.
		They are a cool 5 days without paying a visit to my computer in order to update my blog. We all know that the newborns are time-eating, but the new job that requests to me to get up early, was fatal. I can not do a continuous sleeping, thanks to E.R. . So, when I return home in the afternoon, frequently I fall sleeping, and the afternoon flies away....
	Sigh... this is the life, I was hoping to reset my habits more quickly, but against the sleep it needs time. So, be patient and continue, please, to verify if my blog is updated. Happy August to you all!.

09 August 2006 [17:05] - Not only listening...

......but also discovering new music together.

Today. E.R. needs some calming and like I frequently do in this cases I have put on come music and, almost at today, was very useful as usual.

We heard together a new composer and his band.

Jarì Mäenpää and Wintersun.

Good music, certainly I have heard better stuff, but is a work that deservers to be heard and collected.

I am eager for opening the musical section of this site to tell you some stories....

	09 August 2006 [17:30] - The days passes...
	A part the difficulty to find time in this period, like clearly exposed on this blog, there is also the fact that at the moment there are not so significant news to post in. Everyone like to see pictures and stay really informed to E.R. can read the Loredana's Blog. It is constantly updated about, and made with the feeling of the mother, that is really good.	I want to spend my time also to update the other sections of my site, and open the ones still waiting. This site is not only a blog, without doubt the useful part to communicate with friends, but it is not the only section I like will be read by who will have the kindness to surf in these pages. Thanks.

	09 August 2006 [20:10] - Believe or not believe?
	Do not trouble! It is not a theological question! The fact is that, commonly, we all say to not believe in the luck ot bad luck, all the happenings are coincidences, randomness. Practically most of us in despite of declaring to not believe in the bad luck, has some rituals for luck.	In my present house I must place an outdoor-closet on the balcony, in a incorrect position. I can not do in a different way. Particularly it is overexposed to the wind. To avoid problems I have attached two elastic cords with fastener that closes in front of the doors of the closet. Well! I have forgotten two times (two!!) to fasten the cords after taking things from the closet. For TWO times, some hours later it comes an unusual strong wind, that pulls down the closet!!!! I ask to you all if it is not the case that I make some rituals for luck....

DIES MARTIS XV AUGUSTUS MMVI

Today in Italy, like in all Catholic countries is feast. This because is remembered the assumption (in the sky) of the Virgin Mary.
However, here all call today "Ferragosto", and this is interesting.
As the Christianity imposed it in the Roman Empire, will be substituted the pagan feasts with Christian ones.
Including Christmas.
The Emperor Aureliano in 274 A.D. introduces the cult of the god Sun and establish the 25th December as "Dies Natalis Soles Invicti" the day dedicated to this deity. This feast become popular faster due also to the closeness to the more ancient roman feast: the "Saturnali".
Coming back to "Ferragosto" this term is the vulgarization of the "Feriæ Augustæ" roman festivity taken in these days of August, near also to the feast for the god Conso, protector of the harvests.

This is the only term of common usage about festivity, that not only survives through the centuries, but it is strongly preferred to indicate the 15th of August in despite of the Christian occurrence of the Virgin Mary assumption.

It will be interesting discover why!.

		It is morning, and I am going to work. Loredana enjoy her deserved sleeping, after the night feeding. E.R. is sleeping in a artistic pose with his little hand that is moving day by day in a better coordinated way.
	Good Sleeping!!! We see later on my return!.

24 Augst 2006 [19:14] - Parental care: side effects.

In June blog pages, I have told about the parent care that we had to Emanuele Ritchie, already in the mum's belly.

Today I was reflecting about the effects that these "pre-borning" cares has had on the way to feel E.R. and the relationships with him.

After he is born, in fact, I have never had the feeling to have a new life in my hands, a new being, but "only" the pleasure to carry my son in my harms.

The same was in the day he is born, when finally he come out to the new world and then they gave it to me waiting for the "reconstruction" of his mum after the delivery. I had the strong emotion to see him finally, to carry him finally in my arms, but not the feeling to see a new life.

This because, the emotion was already lived and acquired before, when, with E.R. already in the Loredana's belly, I caress him, I spoke to him and so on.

Also Loredana confirm to me that is feeling a similar sensation: it is like we have E.R. from 10 months not two, as he was just yesterday.

An interesting reflection that I have the pleasure to share whit you.

Like in every blog, also in my one exists the option to send a comment.

The only difference is that this comment is not internal to the blog as usual, but it is a private comment sent as email.
It was a my choice because, as I have written opening this blog, it will be a "contact zone" between me and my friends and visitors, not a public dashboard.

The problem is that, after three months after the opening of this blog, the comments I have received, are really few.

Perhaps the things I write are so less interesting?!?!

I hope really not!!

	27 August 2006 [18:38] - Sunday is ended (and holydays too).
		Sunday is ended and holydays too, but not our holydays considering that we have not do any holyday. In any case with our little love we enjoy much the same! Of course, in full friendship, we hope that everybody was in holydays had found ugly weather, high prices, disappointing food, and that sometimes they quarrelled about something. Just to have a good memory of their holydays, noting more, nothing less...
	Anyway, tomorrow there is someone that is continuing to work, and someone that start to work again....	Of course there is the every day life for the first ones, for who start again after holidays there is the "return shock".... :)

	27 August 2006 [19:00] - Interesting championship? [In F1].
		I am a F1 lover and every race enjoy me. Anyway, today, we have seen, for another time, a better performing car that was not able to overtake the next car, in order to gain the right place in the final results. Today was the Schumacher turn. It is years that the federation and the teams are discussing about a Formula One more interesting and less expensive.
	The fact is that at the moment both target was not hat. In fact the teams spent every years a lot of money to find new technological solutions able to close the gap generated by the new rules, and on the circuit the song is ever the same. I have ever thought that the solution is so obvious that am embarrassed to explain it. Are more or less 10/15 years, I have lost the count, that every year the rules of the F1 changes in the way to limit new solutions on the cars. This is against the spirit of the Formula One that is thought to represent the top of car technology (continuing on this way F1 cars will be less performing than the cars of the minor series). Moreover is not the right way to hit the two target above. With particular regard about the implementation of the show. When a car is 0.5/0.8 second at least, faster that the others, like the Ferrari today was, this advantage is obtained on the total round of the track. To do an overtaking is needed a little acceleration in addition, just to put the front of the car on the side of the opponent, to push him out of the ideal trajectory. But if are made new rules that make limits to the cars every years for one, two, ..., fifteen years, it become impossible, also for the most imaginative and ingenious engineer to find the way to obtain this little acceleration more to overtaking. For me is so evident, considering that the way to decrease the operating costs is different from the one followed until today, that is better to open again the doors to the fantasy of the engineers keeping away all the limitations imposed in these years. Perhaps not only we will see more interesting races, but also an higher number of competitive teams. I think to be not the only one thinking in this way, but the people directly involved seems that is thinking in a different way....

	30 Agosto 2006 [12:07] - IGP Decaux. (Translation in next days)
	Non sempre si pone caso alle piccole cose anche perchè oramai mille informazioni ci arrivano da ogni dove lungo le strade. Durante la mia permanenza in Olanda, posto decisamente più rilassante, ho notato come tutte le fermate dei mezzi pubblici portassero il nome "IGP Decaux" ovviamente il produttore. Poi, però, ho notato lo stesso nome in Svezia, ora anche quì in Italia e non ne sono sicuro, ma quasi certamente anche in Inghilterra e Germania. Basta fare una rapida ricerca su internet e si scopre come questa ditta è leader in Europa in certi casi nel mondo, per la cartellonistica e l'arredo urbano!. L'esempio che con un prodotto valido e intraprendenza si può creare un colosso transnazionale anche con oggetti cui facciamo poco caso e ci scivolano attorno: quanti conoscevano questa ditta e le sue dimensioni?

	31 Agosto 2006 [22:24] - Che delusione. (Translation in next days)
	Solitamente quello che dico, faccio. Chi ha avuto la costanza di leggere questo blog ed il resto del mio sito, sa che sono rimasto deluso dal sistema calcio italiano e non avevo più voglia di segurlo. E così sto facendo, so che stanno giocando le prime amichevoli, preparando i calendari del campionato, ma lo so unicamente perchè sono notizie che passano al telegiornale e le sento assieme alle atre. Oggi una notizia ha aggiunto dispiacere al dispiacere. Ero rimasto deluso, infatti da come la Juventus aveva affrontato l'intera faccenda, inizialmente con molta remissività. Poi ha tirato fuori gli artigli chiedendo la serie A e la reintegrazione dei due scudetti defraudati. Decisa a spingersi al T.A.R. ed alla Corte di Conciliazione Europea. Finalmente la Juventus che sa lottare e che tutti amiamo. Oggi, la notizia che in seguito ad accordi con la Federazione rinuncerà al ricorso al T.A.R., in cambio, si vocifera, si un sostanzioso sconto di penalizzazione di punti in serie B. Ma chi guida la Juventus? Dov'è finito l'orgoglio bianconero di difebdere quanto guadagnato sul campo ad onta di tutte le voci e le malignità?. Bleah!

	31 August 2006 [22:24] - The first vaccination.

	Today Emanuele Ritchie has had his first vaccination, up to 6 virus involved. But E.R. vas stoic when tested out. Just a little lapse in the afternoon when comes a little reaction, but now blissful sleeps!.
